About Kalavrita Canyon Hotel & Spa
Kalavrita Canyon is a four-star of 36 rooms in the heart of Kalavryta, beside the town’s carved canyon and about 14 km from the Helmos ‘Panos Polkas’ ski centre. Its spa, open October to May, has a sauna and massage rooms, its three two-level suites have hydromassage baths and views of Mount Helmos, and it has the Monastery Restaurant and the Golden Bar.
In the heart of Kalavryta
The hotel stands in the centre of Kalavryta, the historic market town of the northern Peloponnese, beside the carved Kalavryta Canyon. The Helmos ‘Panos Polkas’ ski centre is about 14 km away, and the beaches of the Gulf of Corinth about 22 km. A 16-space underground garage has a lift to the rooms.
The spa
The spa, on level −1, opens for the winter season, October to May, from Thursday to Sunday, 13:00–21:00, with a sauna and massage treatments. Spaces are shared, so bring swimwear; for treatments on closed days, ask the hotel.
In the heart of the historic town of Kalavryta, in the hotel’s words, beside its canyon.
Rooms and suites
There are 36 rooms in Standard, Superior and Deluxe categories and three suites. The suites are on two levels, joined by a wooden staircase: a king-size bed upstairs, a leather sofa bed below, two bathrooms with hydromassage, and views of Mount Helmos.
Eating and services
The Monastery Restaurant and the Golden Bar are the hotel’s dining room and bar, and room service runs daily from 07:30 to 22:30. Reception arranges ski and snowboard lessons at the Helmos ski centre, car hire and babysitting.
Our advice: book a suite for the hydromassage baths and the view of Helmos, ski in the morning, and plan your stay from Thursday to Sunday so the spa is open.
