About Tennerhof

Tennerhof stands in a quiet garden on a high plateau on the sunniest side of Kitzbühel, looking across to the Streif. Run by the von Pasquali family, this Relais & Châteaux house has just 39 rooms, a spa with a year-round indoor pool and saunas up to 90 °C, the Kupferstube gourmet restaurant and, nearby, luxury chalet suites.

On the sunny side of Kitzbühel

Tennerhof sits on Griesenauweg, on a gentle slope on the sunniest side of town, with a view over Kitzbühel to the mountains and the Streif. It is a family house, run by the von Pasquali family, and it keeps itself small: 39 rooms, which the hotel says makes it the most charming and individual five-star in Kitzbühel. It is a member of Relais & Châteaux.

Pool and spa

The indoor pool is heated all year and open daily from 7.00 to 20.00; in summer, roughly May to September, a gently heated outdoor pool opens in the garden, with a pool bar in fine weather. In the Spa de Charme, the hotel heats its guests up to 90 °C, in its own words: there are two Finnish saunas at 80 °C and 90 °C, a biosauna at 60 °C, a sanarium for those who like it milder, a 60 °C steam bath and a plunge pool, with relaxation rooms and a menu of massages and treatments.

With only 39 rooms, the most charming and individual 5-star hotel in Kitzbühel, in the hotel’s words.

Rooms and suites

Rooms run from the 15 m² single and the 20 m² Standard double through Superior (25 m²) and Deluxe (30 m²) doubles to the 31 m² James Bond double. Junior suites measure 35 m² and Deluxe Junior Suites 40 m², the Senior Suite 50 m², and the two Kaiser suites, Maximilian and Franz Josef, 55 m² and 65 m². Families take the two-bedroom Family Suite of 80 m², for up to six.

For complete privacy, the Tennerhof Luxury Chalet Suites stand beside the hotel with its service: two- and three-bedroom chalets of 110–120 m² and a two-bedroom penthouse, each with ensuite bedrooms, a kitchenette and a private spa and wellness area for up to six.

Eating and drinking

The Kupferstube is the gourmet restaurant, where head chef Hannes Fussel joins Austrian traditions to modern technique and international influences. It opens on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 18.30 (last seating 20.00) and for Saturday lunch, with a smart-casual dress code. The Tennerhof Restaurant, the Römerhof Stüberl and the hotel bar complete the house, and breakfast and lunch are served daily.

Our advice: book a Junior or Kaiser suite for the view of the Streif, reserve the Kupferstube for a Friday or Saturday night, and if you are travelling as a family or group, compare the chalet suites, which bring their own spa.
