Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol stands at Jochberg in the Kitzbühel Alps, a five-star superior with modern Tyrolean architecture and direct access to the slopes in winter. Das Tirol stands at Jochberg, south of Kitzbühel, with direct access to the slopes from the hotel in winter. It mixes modern and Tyrolean design, and it is entirely non-smoking indoors.
The Alpine Spa
The spa is the hotel’s great asset: 3,600 m² with a panoramic indoor pool and two outdoor pools, a bio sauna, a lava sauna and a Finnish sauna, a steam room, quiet relaxation lounges and twelve treatment rooms. The pools open daily from 8.00 to 21.00 and the saunas from 11.00 to 21.00, and the gym is open around the clock. Guests aged 16 and over may use everything; younger guests may swim when an adult is with them. The Mountain Health Bar serves light snacks and drinks with its own sun terrace.

Rooms and suites
Superior and Deluxe rooms measure 36 m², the Deluxe facing the mountains directly; the Classic Junior Suite is 42 m² and the Deluxe Junior Suite 55 m², for up to four. Suites take two to six guests, and the Penthouse Suite up to ten adults. Step-free Deluxe rooms with roll-in showers are available.
Eating and drinking
Steinberg is the à la carte restaurant, cooking modern, creative Tyrolean dishes, with a terrace in the warmer months; it welcomes non-residents, so book dinner ahead. The Alpenglück Stube, a rustic Alpine room, does business lunches, afternoon coffee and fondue evenings, and the Rubin Bar is for wine, coffee and cigars.
Our advice: book a Deluxe room or junior suite with the direct mountain view, ski to the door and go straight to the outdoor pools before dusk, and keep one evening for fondue in the Alpenglück Stube.
