About Lucky Bansko SPA & Relax
Lucky Bansko stands at the start of Bansko on the left bank of the Glazne river, about 600 metres from the town centre. It is a spa hotel of studios and apartments, with indoor, outdoor and salt pools, a long list of saunas and baths, three restaurants and a complimentary scheduled shuttle to the first gondola station.
By the Glazne river
Lucky Bansko sits at the edge of town on the left bank of the Glazne, about 600 metres from the centre, with mountain views from the balconies. In winter a complimentary scheduled shuttle runs to the first gondola station, and for a fee the hotel will drive you straight to the slopes at Banderishka Polyana. Dogs up to 40 kg are welcome with their papers.
The spa
The spa centre is the hotel’s calling card. There are two indoor and two outdoor pools: indoors, an adults’ pool at 33 °C and a children’s pool at 38 °C; outdoors, pools beside the main building. A salt pool with Dead Sea salts is kept at 35–37 °C. The heat rooms include two Finnish saunas, one traditional and one herbal, at 80–100 °C, an infrared sauna, two aroma steam baths and a salt room, and there is a jacuzzi and a Technogym gym.
Over 30 activities in the SPA centre, in the hotel’s words, all year round.
The pools, saunas, jacuzzi and gym are included for hotel guests; massages and treatments are extra, as are the cryosauna, the hammam, the hydromassage bath and the solarium. The spa is open all year, 08:00–20:00, and works with Casmara, Talgo, Intraceuticals, Lanvin and Molton Brown.
Studios and apartments
Every unit is self-contained. Studios measure 25 m²; apartments run from 35 m² to 65 m² for the Executive apartments; two-bedroom apartments measure 83 m² and 90 m², with a mountain-view balcony, and the Presidential Suite is 65 m².
Eating and drinking
Le Bistro serves classic and contemporary cooking and a farm-to-table Bulgarian breakfast; Leonardo is the Italian restaurant, with its own lobster and oyster aquarium; Fondue opens in winter for alpine dishes. The lobby bar has a fireplace, the Pura bar is for cigars, and the Nutri bar makes smoothies and juices.
Families
Children are a strength here. A 30 m² children’s room for ages 1–6 and a winter room for children over five are open daily, 09:00–22:00, with Montessori-based animation and an art workshop, and the hotel arranges children’s ski lessons in winter.
Our advice: book an apartment with a mountain-view balcony, take the shuttle up early, and spend the late afternoon moving between the salt pool, the herbal sauna and the outdoor pool. Reserve Leonardo for one evening.
