About Yastrebets Hotel Wellness & SPA
Yastrebets stands in old coniferous forest above Borovets, at about 1,500 metres, an hour from Sofia, with its terrace in front of the slope. Its spa, included for hotel guests, has a 15-metre indoor pool, a thermal zone and a fitness centre over the Rila forests, and its à la carte restaurant, under chef Lyubomir Todorov, has two log fires.
In the old forest
The hotel sits among century-old conifers above the centre of Borovets, at about 1,500 metres and an hour’s drive from Sofia. The Terrace, in front of the slope, is the sunny spot for lunch in winter.
The spa
The spa is included for hotel guests. There is a 15-metre indoor pool with a sun deck beside it, a thermal zone for relaxation, and a fitness centre that looks over the Rila forests. Massage therapists and physiotherapists offer massages and face and body treatments.

Rooms and suites
Alpine and classic Double Rooms have a queen bed and a balcony; Alpine and classic Junior Suites add a living room; the Executive Suite has a fireplace and a view. For more privacy, the pet-friendly Finnish Villa has its own furnished porch and Finnish sauna.
Eating and drinking
The à la carte restaurant on the first floor, under head chef Lyubomir Todorov, cooks seasonal Bulgarian dishes with a modern touch from small Bulgarian farms, with two live fireplaces, soft jazz, forest views and a long wine list; it is open daily, 11:30–23:00. The lobby bar has a fireplace, books and board games and is open 08:00–23:00, and in winter The Terrace serves meals from 07:30 to 16:00. Downstairs, a piano bar and a night club open for groups on request.
Our advice: book the Executive Suite for the fire, or the Finnish Villa for your own sauna, ski Yastrebets in the morning, lunch on The Terrace, and book dinner in the restaurant by the fire.
