About Hotel Steffani
The Steffani has stood in the centre of St. Moritz since 1869 and is run by the fourth generation, Brigitte, Daniela and Francesca Märky. It has 60 rooms and suites with local wall paintings, a pool and spa with a heated indoor pool, sauna and steam bath, four restaurants, two bars and the Vivai Dance Club, and it is open all year.
In the village centre
The Steffani stands in the middle of St. Moritz Dorf, a short walk from the mountain railway, and has been in the same family since 1869. Brigitte, Daniela and Francesca Märky are the fourth generation, and the hotel is open 365 days a year.
Pool and spa
The Steffani Pool & Spa has a heated indoor pool, a wet zone with sauna and steam bath, and a relaxation room, open daily from 8am to 8pm. Ricari Studios offers non-invasive body and face treatments, Martina’s Hairdesign runs the salon, and The Beat studio offers slow resistance training on XFORMER machines.
Your second home in St. Moritz, in the hotel’s words.
Rooms and suites
The 60 rooms and suites have oak floors, local Valser stone bathrooms and local wall paintings. Single rooms face the mountains or the quiet courtyard; Deluxe doubles all have balconies over the village, the mountains and in part the lake; family rooms have balconies and sofa beds; and the romantic suites, in Swiss stone pine with local wood carving, have a separate living room.
Eating and drinking
Le Lapin Bleu, the first and oldest restaurant in St. Moritz, is where locals meet for coffee or dinner: Italian and Swiss dishes, chateaubriand, saddle of venison Baden-Baden, homemade pasta and fondue. The Stüva Grill on the first floor serves breakfast and, in the evening, grill dishes and the half-board menu. There is the OOKI Ramen Bar, the Stübli Bar, the Cresta Bar, where Cresta Run riders tell their stories in winter, and the Vivai Dance Club until the early hours.
Our advice: book a Deluxe room with a balcony, dine at Le Lapin Bleu on the first night, and look in at the Cresta Bar after dark.
