About Carlton Hotel St. Moritz
The Carlton stands high above Lake St. Moritz and is part of the Tschuggen Collection; every room and suite faces south over the lake. Its 1,200 m² spa runs over three floors with two pools, saunas, steam baths and a fitness centre, and its restaurants include the Cerea brothers’ Italian restaurant and the Grand Restaurant. The winter season runs from 11 December 2026 to 21 March 2027.
Above the lake
The Carlton sits high above Lake St. Moritz, and every room has the view. It is part of the Tschuggen Collection, open in winter from 11 December 2026 to 21 March 2027, with a shuttle around St. Moritz and to the lifts.
The Carlton Spa
The spa covers 1,200 m² over three floors, with wide views of the Engadin mountains. There are two pools, sauna and steam areas, relaxation rooms, a fitness centre open around the clock and yoga sessions. Treatments follow the Moving Mountains concept, with organic or certified natural products, and there is a beauty, nail and hair salon. The water world opens from 7am to 8pm, and outside guests can book.
Perched high above the lake, St. Moritz’s most refined retreat, in the hotel’s words.
Rooms and suites
Rooms and suites are individually designed, all facing south over the lake and mountains, from rooms with twin beds to two-bedroom suites linked by a living room for families. The Carlton Penthouse is one of the largest in St. Moritz.
Eating and drinking
The Cerea brothers bring their Italian cooking to the Carlton. In the Grand Restaurant, chef Salvatore Frequente from Sicily cooks local produce and wild ingredients from the forests, in an interior by Carlo Rampazzi. The bar on the Bel Etage, with its crackling fire, serves afternoon tea; the sun terrace has one of the best views in town; and fondue is served in gondolas for two to four.
Our advice: ask for a lake-view suite, book the Italian restaurant well ahead, and take afternoon tea by the fire.
