About Hotel Chalet Gerard – The Mountain Lodge
Chalet Gerard stands at Plan de Gralba, above Selva di Val Gardena, a family mountain lodge where you ski to the door. It has a Swiss pine sauna and an outdoor whirlpool facing the Sella, rooms with Dolomites balconies, and a restaurant where chef Riccardo and his mother Helga rework South Tyrolean cooking.
At Plan de Gralba
Chalet Gerard stands at Plan de Gralba, on the slopes above Selva di Val Gardena, with skiing to and from the lodge in winter. It is a family house, run with Ladin hospitality.
Wellness
The wellness area is small and well judged: a large Swiss pine sauna, multi-sensory showers, a panoramic relaxation room with herbal teas, and an outdoor whirlpool looking to the Sella group. A fitness room has a bike, a treadmill, a multi-station and weights.

Rooms and suites
Rooms have balconies or terraces. The Double Panorama measures about 26 m², facing the Dolomites; the Deluxe about 30 m², facing the Alpine meadows; the Superior about 31 m², looking to Ciampinoi and the valley; and the Junior Suite about 34 m², with wooden floors, a rain shower and a bathtub, facing the Dolomites. There is also a small attic room of about 22 m².
Eating and drinking
The restaurant and café rework traditional South Tyrolean food, from breakfast to gourmet dinners, with chef Riccardo cooking alongside his mother Helga. The café opens from 8.30, lunch is from 12.00 to 14.30 and dinner from 19.00 to 21.00, by reservation. The terrace is the place for an aperitif at sunset with the Dolomites in view. The restaurant opens from early December to early April and from late May to mid-October.
Our advice: book a Junior Suite or a Panorama double, ski to the door for lunch, and take your aperitif on the terrace at sunset.
