About Fýri Resort
Fýri Resort sits in the heart of Hemsedal, with the slopes right outside the door in winter and the summer trails starting from the same spot. Its 145 rooms run from 20 m² doubles to a 95 m² Executive Suite, and the Pool Club of about 1,000 m² has heated pools inside and out at 35°C, a sauna and daybeds.
Slopes at the door
Fýri stands between the ski area and the village, so in winter the slopes are right outside, and in summer the trails start from the same door. Children are welcome across the resort, and selected rooms take dogs at extra charge.
The Pool Club
The Pool Club covers about a thousand square metres, with heated pools inside and out at 35°C, a sauna, daybeds, music and a bar of snacks and light plates. Hours are split by age: on weekends, 10am–noon is for children from four; 1–7.15pm for children from ten; and from 7.30pm for guests aged 16 and over. Children must always be with an adult, and the outdoor area closes at 11pm. Not every booking includes the Pool Club, so check yours; day passes are sold too.

Rooms and suites
There are 145 rooms. Standard doubles measure 20 m² with a king-size bed, some with a mountain view; Superior doubles 27 m²; the Suite, 56 m², has a king-size bed and a mountain view; and the Executive Suite, 95 m², sleeps up to eight. Family rooms and suites sleep up to six.
Eating and drinking
Restaurant Liv, on the fourth floor of the main building, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a Mediterranean lean; next door, Liv Bar has wood-fired pizza, fresh oysters and a terrace with the view. ROA, the lobby bar on the second floor, has a fireplace, a few games and sushi in season. Across the street, Rambler cooks alpine food, fondue in winter and pinsa and salads in summer.
Our advice: take a Suite for the mountain view, make sure your booking includes the Pool Club, and end the evening in the warm water after 7.30pm if you are travelling as adults.
