About Hotel Exquisit
Hotel Exquisit is a four-star superior hotel in Oberstdorf, Germany’s southernmost municipality, facing the Allgäu Alps. It has 52 rooms and suites in modern Alpine style, a 1,000 m² spa with a 14 x 6 m indoor pool behind a panoramic glass front, saunas, a steam bath and a tepidarium, a 2,000 m² garden and a restaurant led by chef Frank Aldinger.
Facing the Allgäu Alps
The Exquisit sits in Oberstdorf, the southernmost municipality in Germany, with a south-facing position, a sun terrace and a view of the high peaks. Inside, modern design meets warm colours and woods.
The spa
The spa covers 1,000 m². The indoor pool measures 14 by 6 metres, with a panoramic glass front onto the southern Allgäu Alps, so you seem to swim towards the mountains. There are saunas from 90–95 °C to a gentle herbal sauna at 60 °C, a steam bath, a marble tepidarium at 40 °C, relaxation rooms, a gym and massage treatments. Beside the spa lies the 2,000 m² Exquisit garden with loungers.

The pool and garden open daily from 7am to 8pm, and the saunas and steam baths from 11am to 8pm. The sauna area is for adults and young people from 16; families can book the Private SPA together.
Rooms and suites
There are 52 rooms and suites in wood, leather and wool. The Stillach standard rooms (25 m²) have a French balcony; the quiet Breitach comfort rooms measure 31 m²; superior rooms of 31 m² have east-facing balconies and mountain views; and junior suites and suites give more space for families.
Eating and drinking
Chef Frank Aldinger cooks with regional produce, with traditional dishes and vegetarian and vegan menus. The bar serves coffee, cocktails and spirits, and the wine cellar holds wines from France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Austria, poured by the fire in winter or on the terrace in summer.
Our advice: ask for a superior room with a mountain view, swim in the panoramic pool at dusk, and take an aperitif on the sun terrace.
