About Hotel Stara Planina
Hotel Stara Planina stands at 1,470 metres in the heart of the ski resort, about 20 metres from the slopes and beside the gondola. It has 109 rooms and 37 suites, a Wellness & Spa with an indoor panoramic pool, a Finnish sauna, a Turkish hammam and a jacuzzi, two restaurants, and a playroom and teen club for families.
At the foot of the slopes
The hotel stands on Jabučko ravnište at 1,470 metres, at the centre of the Stara Planina ski resort, about 20 metres from the pistes and right beside the gondola. It is built for family holidays, with day-to-day childcare at its heart.
The Wellness & Spa
The indoor pool has a relaxation area with panoramic views, and an outdoor pool opens in summer. There is a Finnish sauna, a Turkish hammam, a jacuzzi, massage showers and a relaxation area, with massages and facial and body treatments at extra charge. The spa is open 09:00–21:00, also to non-residents, with a day ticket that includes towel and robe; minors must come with a parent or guardian.

Rooms and suites
There are 146 units: 109 rooms, from doubles and twins to rooms for five, six or seven, and 37 suites. Junior Suites have a separate living room and bedroom, Family Suites two living rooms on two levels, and there are Deluxe Suites.
Eating and drinking
Restaurant Balkan serves local and international dishes at dinner for half-board guests, with breakfast from a varied menu. Restaurant Rosulja serves snacks and drinks by day and an à la carte dinner, and its terrace looks out to the sunset in summer.
Families
Children have a playroom and teens their own club, and the hotel runs a children’s playground.
Our advice: book a Family Suite, ski from the door, give the children the playroom for a morning, and keep the evening for the hammam and dinner at Rosulja.
