About Moose Hotel & Suites

Moose Hotel & Suites stands on Banff Avenue, a minute’s walk from the heart of downtown Banff, with 174 air-conditioned rooms and suites. It has the Meadow Spa & Pools with ten treatment rooms and a private outdoor hot pool, two rooftop hot pools, an indoor pool, a sauna and Pacini Italian restaurant.

On Banff Avenue

The Moose is a short walk from downtown Banff, built in mountain-elegant style with warm natural materials. Parking is included, guests receive Roam bus passes for the local buses, and an outdoor lounge with a fire is a favourite gathering place.

Meadow Spa and the pools

Meadow Spa & Pools, on the third floor, is filled with natural light and mountain views. It has ten treatment rooms for massages, body treatments, facials, nails, waxing and couples’ packages, a peaceful relaxation lounge and a private outdoor hot pool on the spa balcony for spa guests.

Mountain elegance with warm, rich, natural materials, in the hotel’s words.

For hotel guests, the two rooftop hot pools look straight out at the Canadian Rockies, with lounge chairs on the deck and a sauna beside them, open early and late. The bright indoor pool, nine metres long, has views of Banff Avenue, and there is a fitness room.

Rooms and suites

Superior hotel rooms measure about 329 sq ft, with a king or two queens and a rain shower. One- and two-bedroom suites have living rooms with gas fireplaces and kitchenettes; the Rooftop Two Bedroom Suite, on the top floor, is about 812 sq ft with two bathrooms. The Corner House, one of Banff’s original mining dwellings, moved from Bankhead in 1926 and now restored in the hotel’s courtyard, is a two-storey hideaway of about 660 sq ft with a claw-foot tub. Dogs and cats are welcome.

Eating and drinking

Pacini, off the lobby, serves Italian dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner in its dining room, lounge and patio, with its famous bread bar and room service for guests.

Our advice: book a one-bedroom suite with a fireplace, soak in the rooftop hot pools at dusk, and walk into town for the evening.
