Hotel Rila stands at the bottom of Borovets’ ski runs, with direct access to a six-seater and a four-seater lift and the gondola about five minutes’ walk away. It has a 25-metre indoor pool with mountain views, two jacuzzis, a thermal zone, a full-service spa, seven restaurants, bars and a night club, and a fun zone for children.
At the bottom of the runs
The Rila is the big hotel at the heart of Borovets, built at the foot of the pistes with direct access to a six-seater and a four-seater chairlift; the gondola is about a five-minute walk. Both its East and West Wings have been renovated.
Pool, spa and thermal zone
The indoor pool measures 25 × 12 m, 1.40–2.00 m deep and heated to 28 °C, at the foot of the slopes with mountain views. Beside it are a children’s pool at 32–34 °C and two jacuzzis at 37 °C. The thermal zone has classic Finnish saunas at about 90 °C, a steam bath at 42–46 °C, a Turkish bath and a cool room with a cooling mist; it is closed to children under 16.

The spa and pool are open 09:00–20:00 from Tuesday to Sunday and 10:00–20:00 on Mondays. The full-service spa offers massages, facials and body treatments, and there is a gym.
Rooms and suites
Signature Rooms in the East Wing and Superior Rooms in the West Wing sleep up to three. There are two Signature Suites for four, Deluxe Suites on floors 6–9 with larger balconies, and five two-level Maisonettes on the 10th floor, reached by their own lift.
Eating and drinking
The choice is wide: Restaurant Samokovi, Seasons Restaurant and Les Arcs, the Champions Lobby Bar & Diner, the Terrace Lounge, Gourmet On The Go for a quick bite, and the After Eleven Night Club for late nights.
Families
Younger guests have a fun zone with supervised activities.
Our advice: book a Deluxe Suite or a Maisonette for the views, ski to the door, then swim in the 25-metre pool before dinner at Samokovi. Teenagers under 16 should stick to the pool and jacuzzis.
